The new Roads Depot for the City of Edinburgh Council comprises office accommodation and

industrial buildings in a purpose designed complex.  The proposed arrangement of the depot is predominantly inward looking onto a central courtyard. This zonal arrangement minimises

wastage of yard area, leakage of sound, and public views of the Road’s Depot in action. It maximises the use of the yard in addition to providing added security for the site.  The arrangement of the buildings also provide good visual connection from the office across the whole site.
